Iittala was founded in 1888 in the city of Iittala in South Finland as a glass factory. Today iittala is known worldwide for its Nordic design with clear, true-to-life shapes and is thus a pioneer of the beloved Scandinavian design that favours all excess flares and clear, functional and elegant shapes.
